Podcasting: What is it and How to Begin it?

Podcasting is the latest trend online and it keeps on improving everyday. It is the result term for combining the two words iPod and broadcasting. Podcast is used to describe the video and audio supplies felt comfy for several users.

Adam Curry and Dave Winer are two persons credited to develop podcasting. Curry was the one who wrote a program that he called iPodder. iPodder allows him to download internet radio broadcast right into his iPod automatically. Winer, on the other hand was an instrument to promote the RSS that is the Really Simple Syndication.

In podcasting, you will not need an iPod for you to record or listen in to a podcast. In fact, any person with a personal computer or an mp3 player can be able to listen to a podcast.

Podcasting: What is it and How to Begin it?

What really is podcasting?

Podcasting is an audio file that you make on your PC and afterwards upload it over the Internet for other people to hear them. What you need to make this work is a PC, microphone and voice-editing program.

There are no specific people who can podcast. Actually, anyone can do it. It is ideal for women, men, home-based workers, mothers, elders and students. If you need to say something, podcasting would be a great alternative to perform this.

Do you have a routine that you want others to know? Do you have a business and would like to increase a number in your sale? Have you dreamed of becoming a host of a talk show or a disk jockey of any radio station? With the help of podcasting, all of the above will not be impossible to achieve.

You can have your own podcast and run it now.

What will you need?

• Microphone

A microphone is needed in your PC in order for you to record your show. You can buy an appropriate microphone at any electronic supplies or computer store near your place.

• Voice editing program

This will allows you to record and edit your own show. There are also free programs of voice editing available on the Internet. They are the wavepad and the audacity.

• Upload the Show to Website or Hosting Provider

After you are done recording your show, you will have to upload it on the Internet. You place it in your own website or otherwise use any hosting company.

As you may notice, podcasting is so simple and uncomplicated to begin with. Remember, you are just at the beginning of this new stage that will hit the world for sure in the future.

Start podcasting to know if it is also for you. Take the initial step and notice how you will enjoy it.

How To Tap Into Massive Sources of Traffic With Virtually No Competition!

Things haven't been this perfect for a long time. In fact, not since one of the big engines really started to take off, when those who were lucky enough to be already seated firmly in the Top 10 for their keywords, has there been such a plethora of new traffic opportunities.

The internet marketing world has become multi-dimensional in ways that are surprising to most people who are still hooked on search engine marketing as their sole website promotion strategy.

Here are the new avenues of traffic that most people are NOT taking advantage of outside of the big companies and a handful of savvy marketers:

How To Tap Into Massive Sources of Traffic With Virtually No Competition!

1. Podcasting

While it was "the word of the year" for 2005, most people still have no idea what Podcasting is really about outside of being able to download music at iTunes.com.

And, frankly, it's because the people who "get it" are, for the first time ever, keeping quiet about it! Or at least keeping the information of how they are profiting wildly with Podcasting behind closed doors and in small groups.

And I am not going to get too far into it here for the same reason as the others: I don't want the competition that will be here by the end of 2006 to come any earlier because I blabbed about how it is done in public!

Sorry, but you will have to pay something to become a millionaire using this information!

But I will give you a clue. Go to iTunes.com and download the free software that allows you to, yes, download music. But ignore that part for a minute.

With the iTunes software you can grab Podcasts from major news organizations and tiny garage websites mostly focusing on short comic bits.

Pay attention to what you are NOT seeing. One thing is there isn't a lot of video Podcasts - period. Not even comedy! And there are no how-to podcasts save a couple from the people I talked about above.

The savvy marketers are already in the game and getting traffic from a source all other marketers seem to be totally discounting right now. To the tune of 6 million or so pairs of eyeballs dying to see and hear more content, especially video content, at iTunes.com alone!

Last year you could see the word "Podcasting" uttered thousands of times by marketers trying to gauge the buzz worthiness of it among their customer lists.

Well, without showing people how marketing with Podcasts is done, and with article marketing doing a great job of bringing people traffic in ways they COULD understand, not too many marketers really got into it.

We were lucky recently to have a guest speaker from none other than the Hawaiian Tropics site come in and talk to our clients about how easy it has been to blow away the likes of Playboy and other major competitors by offering their content through Podcasts.

We got to see the inner workings of a successful marketing campaign on a very very high level. And we gained valuable insight into how marketing with Podcasts can be done on the guerrilla marketing level.

You watch. By the end of this year you will wish you started caring about including Podcasting in your marketing a year ago!

2. Audio and Video Syndication

Article syndication is not dead. It actually has yet to see its true "boom" period. I say that because until the content people syndicate gets MUCH better overall, we are basically using sophisticated software and networks to distribute garbage.

But as the article syndication industry slowly comes around to the fact that demanding good content is not going to hurt business, quite the opposite, there are new networks developing that will have us creating, syndicating and streaming much more audio and video around the web to promote our sites.

All-text content is wearing thin on the patience of surfers and possible customers. As the bigger sites lead the way (they almost always do when it comes to new web technology) we are seeing that our own customers, formerly content to read 15 page sales letters, are leaving for something more exciting.

As we all get used to the internet everyone promised us would be here long ago, we see that as we buy stuff and entertain ourselves on the web, we also expect small websites to measure up to the speed, excitement, movement and sound we see on many other sites today.

Less text. Much more multi-media. And as many different ways to access and consume content as we can possibly dream up. That is what's on the menu and the source of traffic is MASSIVE!

Think of all those people who left your all-text site in the last month without buying or clicking on a thing. Where exactly to you think they were headed? That's right. To sites with motion and sound to feed their brains without ruining their eyesight trying to read 10 point font at high resolution for 15 pages!

You have probably bought a product from a choice between a few different dealers just because the site was more engaging than the others. I know I have. And usually I buy from sites that look like they are really in business.

Any monkey can get a merchant account and slap up some text to sell a drop shipped product. I want to buy from people who take the time to take their business (and my credit card information) seriously! That means people who are into displaying information in formats other than all-text.

Audio and video editing and syndication tools have come a long long way in the last year. Anyone can get into the game and dominate in areas where the traffic is theirs for the taking because no one is competing with them for it yet!

So, after you are done writing your next article, while you are syndicating it around the web, make sure you remember that you are not done until you figure out ways to convert that article into an audio for your site or for a Podcast. Or a video script to power a how-to video for the same purpose.

Articles, audio, and video should become synonymous with syndication and traffic generation when thinking about your marketing campaign. Leaving any of them out of your marketing is going to cost you big time in 2006 and beyond!

Potty Training - Timing is Everything!

If you are about to start shopping for a good kids training potty - good luck - there are many different types on the market. Also, remember - timing is everything; you must begin when your child is ready - not by what your mother-in-law, mother, or friends say. Be forewarned, many husbands like to push the issue, especially if you have a male child, so be prepared to hold your ground on all fronts. Now would be an excellent time to begin brushing up on your communication skills, especially when dealing with this delicate subject. There are a lot of good podcasts that you can download for free, if you think you need a little bit of coaching on dealing with difficult people - especially relatives. I especially like Jonathan Rietti's approach. He teaches how to stay in control of your own emotions, and not let another person control the way you behave, which often happens if we are not well practiced in the art of marital diplomacy. I would say from experience that many new mothers lose their abilities to communicate, especially when it centers on baby. Ultimately, your toddler is the best judge, next to you, when he or she is ready to begin.

You might want to get your husband involved in shopping around for a kids training potty, and online is a good place to start. While shopping online, you may be able to gently voice your opinions about potty training without getting into discussion mode. After all, potty training is neither fun nor easy, but it can be considerably easier if done at the proper time and stage of development. The milestone of potty training kids begins by recognizing the skills and cognitive level your child has reached. Most pediatricians agree that children under the age of two have not developed to the point where they are ready to be toilet trained. Even if you see that your child has reached the state where he or she is aware when urination and defecation takes place, this does not mean that they are ready to be trained. Potty training is not a sort of trick that you can teach your child, in the same fashion as you might train an animal. Nor, is it an act that can be achieved solely by relying on reasoning, cajoling, or bribery. These mechanisms do have their place, but not until your child possesses both the necessary motor skills and communication level to use the toilet or potty consistently, as well as independently.

There are certain signs of development that parents can look for to recognize whether their child is ready to begin serious toilet training. As compared with two year olds, three year olds speak in 4-5 word sentences, rather than two word phrases. Two year old can follow simple, one-step commands, while three year olds have the ability to follow more complicated 2-3 step instructions. The obvious differences in maturity levels between the two age groups should be used as a guide as to whether your child is ready for potty training.

Potty Training - Timing is Everything!

Choosing the best kids training potty may also make a difference as to whether your child is a girl or a boy. There are actually toddler urinals, which is obviously inappropriate for a little girl. However, if you do choose one of those for your little boy, in addition you will also have to train him to sit on a potty when he needs to defecate. There, bear in mind that kids training is always going to be challenging, but you can make the "job" less difficult than it might otherwise be, as well as less stressful for all concerned if you begin when your child is ready.

What it Takes to Learn Basic Spanish Online

Thanks to major advances made in technology and Internet connection speeds we do a lot more then just send and read email over the web. There are sites popping up all over the web that will help you learn to speak a new language, play a musical instrument and even run a business.

So what does it take to learn basic Spanish over the Internet? That's the focus of this article.

Using What's out there for Free

What it Takes to Learn Basic Spanish Online

There's a wealth of free material on the web, and if you're just looking to get the basics down you can likely do so without having to spend a buck of your own money.

First stop should be either Google video or YouTube. Both of these websites are adding new videos daily. Do a search for "Spanish lessons" or "learn Spanish". On either site you'll get several videos pop up.

I suggest using videos because this is the new medium of the web, how ever there are some audios you can use as well.

To find free audios to learn basics Spanish phrases from do a search for "learn Spanish podcasts". I've come across a few in different news letters and on podcast and audio book educational websites.

While it might take some time searching for videos and audios that are free it's worth it once you find them.

What about learning Conversational and Advanced Spanish?

If you're goal is to become conversational with a second language such as Spanish then using the free tutorials and tools available online might take some time to piece together a worth while lesson plan shall we call it.

Instead it might be worth the investment of a few bucks in a quality learn to speak Spanish software package.

These, like websites, are popping up all over the place as well. How ever it's important not to just grab any old software program that says it's going to teach you to speak Spanish.

Often times these programs are just as confusing as using the free materials available online.

Use this basic list to find a good software product to learn the basics of Spanish.

1.) Does it teach you every day phrases and important words, rather then a big vocabulary
2.) Does the program teach you pronunciation (does it offer speech recognition).
3.) Does the program go from beginner to advanced lessons

All three of the points made above are important to consider before you buy a piece of software to ensure that you're getting your money's worth.

The most important of all being that the software package teaches you everyday phrases and worth while vocabulary from the Spanish language.

To many programs and websites concentrate on teaching you hundreds of words, how ever you never learn how to piece them all together into phrases and sentences that you can speak to another native Spanish speaking individual.

What it Takes to Learn Basic Spanish Online

For a fantastic learn to speak Spanish software package consider Tell Me More Spanish. It offers lessons from beginner to advanced, and a cutting edge speech recognition feature. Read more about it in this Tell me More Spanish review. To read about more Spanish Learning software check out our learn Spanish reviews.

Radio Talk Show Sample Format

You and your guest can call into your show up to 15 minutes prior to air time for any last minute issue discussion and to make sure you can hear your guest and they can hear you. When you set up your call you can and should set it up to open with everyone muted. Obviously you want to un-mute your guest as soon as they are seen on your control panel to have entered the call. Anyone that joins the call will join muted. You can un-mute them and re-mute them as their questions come up in the question cue when you start taking questions after you interview your guest.

Don't start recording the show until just before you start your show introduction.

Here is a basic format for a talk show where you would be interviewing a guest and later opening the call for questions from your caller/participants:

Radio Talk Show Sample Format

o Do you introduction to your show introducing yourself . . .

Welcome your listeners and chat participants to . . .

(State the name of your show and what it is about) example:

This is (Your Name) and I want to welcome our callers and chatters to the (Name of your talk show) where we discuss all things (The subject of your show). We will be interviewing (Name of your guest/expert), of (Their company or website) regarding (what your guest is an expert on). The interview will last approximately XX minutes and then we will take questions.

o Next do a formal introduction of your interviewee - a sentence or two about their background, accomplishments and their business (Or whatever you and your guest have decided).

o Welcome your guest formally - Example: Hello (Guest name), I am so glad to have you on (Name of your show).

o Start out your interview by asking things like how your guest got involved with their area of expertise, how long they have been working in their area of expertise etc. Be sure to mention any books or training courses the guest has authored.

o Move on to your interview segment by asking the questions you worked out with your guest during your pre-interview call. Your interview of your guest/expert shouldn't run over 30 minutes but if it does, don't worry about it.

o Make sure before you end your personal interview of your guest that you plug their product or website or what ever it is they are promoting. If you are an affiliate, you want to have set up a re-direct page on your domain that goes to your affiliate page on your guest's product site.

o You will have your Teleprompter open on the left side of you computer screen and the TalkShoe Control Panel open on the right side of your screen. You can look in the question cue and say the user name with the first question you want to ask your guest.

If it is a chat only participant, you ask their question. If the caller is on the phone, un-mute the caller and say "Hi their (Username) we like to keep things on a first name basis here, so who are we speaking with? They will say their name - then you say, "From the producers board it appears you have a question about (Use an abbreviated version of the question or its primary subject), "Would you like to clarify that for us or maybe expand on your question?"

o Then you hand the question over to your guest. Let your guest have enough time to answer the question but if you do have a lot of questions in the cue, diplomatically cut them short if the answer runs over 3 or 4 minutes, saying "That's great (Guests name), we have some more questions we need to fit into the time we have left today. (Use your own judgment on this tactic). Then mute the last caller, (Don't stop talking - move right into the next question in the cue), saying "And out next question is from (Un-mute the next caller with a question and do the same into for that caller and their question.

o After the questions have been answered or you have taken all the questions you have time for, remind your listeners of the product your guest is promoting and any website you are promoting.

o Remind everyone on the call what the name of your show is, when your next show will be aired and who your upcoming guest is and what the topic of discussion will be.

o Do your sign off by saying something like - Well that's it for the (Name of your show) - I want to thank our guest (Guest's name) and all of our participants on the show - till next time this is (Your name), saying (What ever your catchy by line is).

o Stop the recording. Normally your recording will be available to download or listen to via flash media within 24 hours.

o You may want to download your show and upload it again for pod cast listeners. (See resources for free editing software.)

You can format your show any way you want. The above format example is just that; an example.

How To Sell Products Effortlessly Like Clockwork!

You're going to discover a very little-known method to sell more of your products and sell easier - instead of chasing the prospects to BUY from you they'll chase YOU to buy from you with this technique!

You have to know that people don't buy your product, what they really buy is your knowledge! They want YOU in other words, your knowledge, your experience, etc.

That's what they really want.

How To Sell Products Effortlessly Like Clockwork!

In order to sell more of your products, and sell a whole lot more easy you have to do something that's not normally done.

Normally when you think of selling you probably think of sending emails to your subscribers and trying to get them to buy now! That kind of thing, "Buy my product before midnight it's a limited time offer".

What you really want to do instead is look like an expert!

People Love Experts

You can deliver content in several ways: articles, video, audio, on the blog, ecourses, special reports, ebooks, etc. Ideally you want to use all of these options.

For example: Give them a free eBook or a free ecourse from your website.

People like experts, because experts do most of the work for them! They want to buy from experts!

People will notice that you know what you're talking about.

In the Info-Marketing business making yourself look like an expert is very important if you want to ATTRACT lots of prospects to your business. They'll be attracted and STICK as well - in other words remain "loyal followers" and some "big fans" as well of you.

That's how to sell effortlessly!

Content Makes You Look Like An Expert!

You also have to constantly provide new information, don't just write one or two articles. People want experts that are on top of their game - they know what's going on in the industry/niche!

Trying to CONVINCE a prospect to buy from you, like begging him/her buy now buy now! That doesn't work - if you try the prospect will even more dislike you and runs even more away from you.

Content Lessens Up A Bit That Skepticism!

Another benefit of giving away free information is that it lessens a bit that skepticism. It proves you're honestly trying to help others, not trying to make a buck or scam people their money and then run away to a foreign country.

By having an online presence like an expert than people think you're online with your website and business to SERVE others. They'll think you're serious and the real deal.

They'll think they should buy from you not from your competitors!

All successful marketers in the Info Marketing business give away free information!

7 Neat Ways To Provide FREE Information/Content

* If you have a salesetter you can use an optin box to capture name and emails and give them a free ecourse. You can also give them a free eBook or special report (10-12 page ebook) as well as a free ecourse, both.

* Blogs are not the best way to give free information, instead put your articles, video tutorials, audio, etc, on your website.

* Interview experts and put the recording on your website either as a free download (.mp3) or they'll listen to it online.

* Teleseminars as well as Webinars are also a fantastic way to provide free information and look like an expert. Start building a list, and then as frequently as you can create teleseminars and webinars and ask them to join you.

* Use video, you can create a YouTube channel, as well as put videos on your website. There are many techniques to teach using videos, including the use of powerpoints, tutorials, as well as recording videos on a street, in your office - it depends on your niche be creative figure out ideas. If you're good at speaking than you can record yourself in your office and teach quick 5 - 10 minute tips, techniques, etc.

* Start a radio talk show, http://www.blogtalkradio.com practically for FREE you can start your own show - attract an audience and provide free information. Convert shows to podcasts and put them on your website as free download or streaming audio as well. Many successful internet marketers have their own Radio Talk Show!

* Start an offline monthly newsletter. I've seen successful Internet Marketers do this, because it's also a great way to provide free information.

So there are a huge number of benefits of giving away free information. Remember though you have to give the right amount of free information, the right type as well. If you have already created products don't give the same information for free!

Otherwise they won't need to buy your products.

A great way is to tell them what to do but not HOW to do it!

Make it useful information but incomplete.

With so many options to create and disseminate information you can get confused quickly, which method you'll do? What I suggest is to brainstorm, think and also look at what your competitors as well as NON competitors in other completely different niches are doing.

Sometimes the best strategies come not from your competitors but from what others are doing in completely different niches.

For example I've got great ideas from marketers in the health niche which has nothing to do with my niche. The niche may be different, but if they're successful and they're in the Info-Marketing business like you, the strategies & techniques are transferable.

Be creative and try to adopt from someone else... never try to re invent the wheel - always use someone's else wagon!:)
